Built From the Ground Up
Flury Earthworks was founded in 2019 by Alex and Samantha Flury with a clear purpose: to do earthworks differently. What started as a local excavation company has grown into a capable, multi-crew civil contractor delivering complex underground utility, road construction, environmental, and general contracting work across BC's Southern Interior and beyond.
We are still family-owned and owner-operated — and that hasn't changed as we've grown. Alex and Sam are on every project from pre-construction through close-out. Our clients have direct access to ownership throughout the life of their contract, which means faster decisions, clearer communication, and a standard of quality that is personal to us.
We work for municipalities, regional districts, school districts, federal clients, and private developers — and many of them have come back to us more than once. That repeat business is the measure we're most proud of.

What We Stand For
Safety The safety of our crew and the public is non-negotiable — not a compliance exercise. Every team member is empowered to stop work if something isn't right. We lead tailgate meetings at the start of every shift, the majority of our crew holds First Aid certification, and we are actively pursuing Certificate of Recognition (COR) certification through WorkSafeBC.
Living Wage Every person on our team earns a wage that reflects the true cost of living in British Columbia. We are a certified Living Wage BC employer and review compensation annually to maintain that standard. We believe fair pay strengthens the people on our crew and the communities we work in.
Reconciliation We acknowledge that we live and work on the unceded territories of Indigenous peoples across British Columbia. We are committed to building respectful relationships with Indigenous communities, supporting meaningful participation in the projects we deliver, and honouring our responsibilities under UNDRIP and the principles of reconciliation. This is a commitment we are actively growing into.
Environmental Responsibility We work in, on, and around the land — and we take that seriously. We are committed to minimizing disturbance, protecting riparian areas, and managing erosion and sediment responsibly on every project. Our major hydraulic equipment operates on biodegradable hydraulic fluid, and we hold ourselves to a higher standard than compliance alone.

Our operators, pipeplayers, supervisors, and support staff bring experience, professionalism, and a shared commitment to doing the job right. We invest in our team's training, competency, and safety — because the standard we hold on site is only as strong as the people holding it.
